Bio of the artist:
Born in Communist Romania and raised in NYC, as a child Serban remembers hearing mysterious tales of Vlad Tepes, Werewolves, Vampires, and recalls there were more demons than heroes. These migrating fictions as told through Myth and Cinema consistently appear as characters in the work’s evolving narrative. Working in a multitude of mediums from installation, film and painting the work lingers between the cartoon and the macabre. He lives and works in Brooklyn, with his cat Count Dracula.
