Bio of the artist:
Ashira Siegel (b.1977) works to reconfigure fragments of human experience through the assemblage of multimedia elements, merging various painting, printing and dying techniques, collage, photography, video, glass, ceramics, sewing and sculpture.. Her innovative approach reinterprets methods of crafting, while borrowing techniques from Expressionist, installation and street artists. She remains loyal to no single art form, approaches documenting as a way of life, and regrets ever leaving the house without a camera. She is currently based in Los Angeles, CA.
